Everyone has sinned. Every single person in every single religion is guilty. None of us can stand in the presence of our holy God if sin lives in us. But God loves us so much He sent His only son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on a cross. God offers all of us what we cannot earn: forgiveness and eternity in heaven with Him. We receive that gift by believing in Jesus, accepting His sacrifice for our sins, and following Him.

So how is all this different from the world’s major religions including Buddhism? Religion requires performance to earn the way to heaven. But Christianity serves a God who loves us so much he has offered us a relationship with Him and everlasting life in heaven as a gift. A gift that costs us nothing but cost Him more than we can imagine. Jesus, the only Son of God, suffered and gave His life to pay the penalty for our sin.

The only way to please God is by receiving His gift of love and forgiveness from all of our sins. He took our guilt upon Himself so that we would be not guilty. Without Christ, that guilt remains in our being.

There are as many as one billion Buddhist followers in the world, most of whom are living in Southeast Asia and East Asia.

God loves the Buddhist people and He sent Jesus Christ to die for them as well as all others in the world. The testimony by Lek in the video below is proof of God’s love for all Buddhists.

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
